  • Optional dual relay output relay cards with programmable alarm functions
  • Optional intrinsically safe ethernet card
  • Optional Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) ethernet card*
  • Optional integrated A/V alarm beacon for local area warning
  • Programmable setpoint monitoring functions with assignable warnings and alarm
  • Programmable STEL and TWA monitoring functions on selected toxic gas sensors
  • Plug-in calibrated gas sensing gBlocs for a range of oxygen, toxic and flammable gas
  • Optional remote configuration with interconnecting flexible armoured conduit with 4-core cable
  • Embedded automatic maintenance routines for convenient on-screen Zero, Span, Response, Signal Linearity + Dynamic Range testing functionality

*Available for GP versions only.

  • Plug-in, pre-calibrated gas Blocs (gBloc) offer a range of toxic, oxygen and flammable options, with compatibility for over 20 variants of gas, allowing for ‘hot-swappability’ for instant calibration and maintenance requirements.
  • Rugged and shock-resistant main housing provides high vibration and impact resistance. Certification for General Purpose, ATEX and IECEx locations gives monitoring for a range of hazardous gases no matter the heavy-duty environment.
  • With automatic detection of gBlocs, the operational performance is advanced through the combination of high accuracy  gas detection and a range of functional outputs to support all system requirements, making detection simple and easy.
  • Designed with new features to make installation faster and simpler, such as dedicated level lock power terminals for secure power supply and ruggedised remote sensing head for detection in hard-to-reach and ardous occupational locations.
  • Graphic OLED information display, coupled with option integrated audio/visual alarm with configurable alerts provides vital information and alerts, accessible in all underground and heavy duty environments, where risk of gas exposure is high.

GOT PRODUCT RELATED QUESTIONS?

Got a question relating to our SENTRO X Gas Detector? Take a look at our FAQs. If you can't find what you're looking for then you can submit a support ticket and an expert will be in touch.

Yes – all alarm generators can be assigned to an alarm severy: “Warning” or “Alarm”.

Yes – variants of SENTRO X gBlocs generate STEL and TWA set point signals when default or custom values are exceeded.

No. The manual states that sensor coverage cannot be simply expressed as number per unit area.

Sensors need to be sited where they can monitor parts of the plant where gas may accumulate or where a release is expected, so that early warning can initiate shutdown, alarm, or evacuation functions.

No. To maintain explosion protection, SENTRO X must only be serviced and repaired by Trolex Ltd or a local Trolex service agent approved by Trolex Ltd.

The manual references IEC/EN 60079-19 for repair guidance.

Yes. The manual states that each gBloc is certified intrinsically safe and can be hot-swapped with power applied to SENTRO X at any time.

For safe removal and to avoid data corruption or disconnection error states, use the Remove Bloc function in the Maintenance menu.

SENTRO X provides on-device diagnostic messages when a Fault is activated. If multiple events occur, diagnostic or fault messages take priority based on severity order.

The manual lists diagnostic priorities from Settings checksum through Under-range.

SENTRO X Controller firmware can be updated in the field using a certified programming Bloc, or pBloc, where required.

The manual states that Trolex will notify users and distributors when a field firmware upgrade is needed.

Electrochemical gBlocs monitor toxic gases or oxygen. The manual notes that electrochemical toxic gas cells can be affected by interfering gases, steam-laden atmospheres, condensation, pressure changes, and long periods at very low or high humidity.

These conditions can affect sensitivity, stability, response, or operating life depending on the gas cell.
